Odin technologies, a world-wide operating RFID system integrator recently released a scientific evaluation report of passive UHF RFID tags designed to work on metal. According to ODIN’s own press announcement, their engineers selected tags for the report based on a number of factors including size, popularity and uniqueness.

Confidex on-metal tags were well presented in the report together with six other tag vendors. The conclusion of the report was that passive UHF RFID works well on metal and there were differences in the tested tags. It is important to anyone designing a system based on metal mounted UHF RFID tags to select and use the most suitable product for their application.
