RESEARCHAs an advisor to European Commission in RFID technology Confidex works now as a partner in two international EU-funded research programs: BRIDGE and Indisputable key. Within the BRIDGE program Confidex is the task leader in developing sensor-enabled UHF tags to build radio frequency identification solutions for the global environment. The Indisputable Key -project is focused on developing new means of tracking and tracing wood as a raw material in forestry industry and increasing its value in process. Both programs will last three years. The BRIDGE ProjectConfidex is participating as one of the key hardware development partners in EU funded research project called "Building Radio frequency Identification solutions for the Global Environment (BRIDGE)". Project is supported by the European Union's Sixth Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP6). Project duration is three years and it started in summer 2006. The main project target is to to research, develop and implement a set of technologies that will enable every physical product to have a duality of existence - both in the physical world and in the information space ("cyberspace") - where their existence in the information space holds all the information about their past, present and future states to allow advanced track and trace and sophisticated decision-making process. Confidex's role in the Research Project is to act as a task leader and main development partner for Gen2 compliant Semi-Passive Sensor Tag Platform. Confidex also participates on developing high dielectric load-, on-metal- and miniature-RFID tags. The INDISPUTABLE KEY ProjectConfidex is participating as a RFID tag development partner in EU funded Research Project called "Intelligent distributed process utilisation and blazing environmental key (INDISPUTABLE KEY)". Project is being supported by the European Union's Sixth Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP6). The main project target is to initiate and stimulate an industrial breakthrough in traceability systems for biological raw materials, specifically wood, leading to substantial economical and environmental improvements in the wood processing chain. This will be achieved through specifying, developing, introducing, evaluating and disseminating a powerful system for improving the use of the wood raw material and production resources of the European forest industry resulting in notable improvements to European competitiveness and sustainability of wood products. Confidex's role in the project is to develope and produce prototypes of specially tailored forest RFID tags. http://www.bridge-project.eu/ |
